There are many excellent British Christian Hymn writers who write contemporary but hymns that are both beautifully tuneful and theologically biblical.
These hymn writers include Graham Kendrick, Stuart Townend and Matt Redman. This is NOT an exhaustive list because there are many others equally gifted writers, but these 3 have allowed videos of their hymns (and songs) to be recorded and embeded in church websites, and for the pleasure that these videos give to visitors to our own church web-site we thank God.
As more material becomes available from other writers, we will include it also because the playing and listening pleasure that this can bring to visitors to church web-sites cannot be over emphasised.
This web-site also has many hymns in midi format. The quality of midi files is certainly not the highest, but midi files are thankfully very small so many can be stored on the remote servers that support this web-site and the download time is very short. So really these are a compromise between quality, cost of starage and speed of download.
Before selecting these videos, please ensure that the playing of the midi tunes has been stopped. Goto the Home Page and click the 'stop' button on the midi player, then click to reurn to this page and then select one of the three modern composers that you wish to listen to.
Finally, please note that at the bottom right of the video display is an 'up arrow'. When that is clicked it allows you to click on a 'list icon' that displays other music by the selected hymn writer.
